The door closed on this year's BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in the early hours of Sunday morning after another fantastic week in the RDS.
As ever this remarkable event ran extremely efficiently and smoothly despite the significant number of elements to be managed and the tens of thousands of visitors that passed through the front doors.
None of that could have happened without the efforts of our BT volunteers, VIP hosts and operational teams. The redcoats made up of BT ROI staff, BT graduates and TY students were on hand to ensure all competing students and visitors had a wonderful experience. Whilst our team of bluecoats made sure that the judges were able to do their work with as little fuss as possible. Our VIP hosts were absolute stars in accompanying over 100 guests around the exhibition including most members of government. Finally the operational teams led all year by Mari Cahalane managed our key business & stakeholder events along with all the media & communications requirements of what is a massive undertaking with excellent coverage throughout.
So a huge thank you to all involved you can see some of our fantastic employees in action here and read about how we were recognised by founder of BTYSTE Dr. Tony Scott for all our efforts.
If you are interested in volunteering for BTYSTE 2019 why not take a listen to what some of this year's volunteers had to say about their experience.
